"Action is eloquence." - William Shakespeare
I'm not a millionaire, nor do I have a ultra-exciting success story to tell you about. However, I have been relatively successful and happy in life and believe things will just keep getting better for me.
I received my BA in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2003 followed by a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University in 2005. Since 1999 I've had a successful career in the industrial commodities markets where I've generated millions in sales.
I've been fortunate enough in my life to have traveled a lot, which has given me a better understanding of people. I've also had many hobbies over the years, which have made me pretty well-rounded and exposed me to rare tidbits of information that most people are unaware of.

I am a foodie so in my free time I like to seek out good food. You'll see lots of food posts on this blog. In my spare time I also like to read, study foreign languages, and spend quality time with my family and friends.

What am I trying to sell?

What qualifies me to write about success?
The fact that I have a happy, healthy, balanced life, a successful career, an above average standard of living, and a reasonable understanding and control over my free time and my future. I've also traveled a lot and had many hobbies over the years. However, I am not retired and independently super-wealthy otherwise I would be selling these axioms as a book. I think there will be at least one axiom you can learn from, but ultimately your belief (or non-belief) in what I have written only affects your life, not mine.
How do I define success?
The traditional American idea of success involves amassing lots of money and material wealth. To me success is more about happiness and having complete control over one's life. While money and financial Independence are key to being super-successful, they are only part of the equation. You must remember that there are many rich people that have lots of material possessions that are very empty and unhappy inside. Simply having lots of money will not make you successful.
Why are the axioms numbered?
They are numbered so that you can easily refer back to the ones you need and keep track of the ones you've already read. It also allows people that have just discovered the website to go back and start at the beginning.
Why are some of posts so short?
People have short attention spans on the web. I don't believe in bloated posts with lots of filler. I just want to get straight to the point with the fewest words possible.
Why am I posting about food and travel if this is a website about success?
I think people would get bored if I only posted axioms. There's more to life than just axioms. I am a person. A real, living, breathing person with hobbies and interests.
Nothing.
